Animatronic Puppet Stand

I created an animatronic puppet stand that allows me to puppeteer any character hands free through the Botango App. This project was a way for me to step foot into the doors of the new animatronics software Botango. With this program I can animate motors live, as well as record animation sequences to then upload to my project. I am excited to dive deeper into this program and explore the new opportunities I have for controlling a moving character. This project also allowed for me to gain a better understanding of 3D modelling software and 3D printing parts for a mechanism.

After I sketched up a concept I created multiple prototypes out of wood and cardboard to figure out where I need to put the servos. The results of these led to a completely diffrent design that what I originally planned.

I uploaded code from Botango as well as the Adafruit Servo Driver library through Arduino to my microcontroller.

I created a model with simple shapes in the software Botango to animate my Servos. After I blocked out those shapes I was able to make a quick cad version in OnShape.
